Biography

Dr. Anne Morris is the Director of Programs at PDK International. She is originally from Miami, FL and worked for nine years in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. During her time there, Dr. Morris worked as a secondary mathematics teacher and then a district curriculum support specialist, where she wrote district middle grades math pacing guides and assessments, provided instructional coaching support to district target schools, and designed and facilitated district-wide professional development. Dr. Morris managed the Research Lab as a graduate assistant for the Graduate School of Education & Human Development at GW for 3 years in Washington, D.C. as well as held a 2016 summer fellowship with the Education Pioneers at the Delaware Department of Education where she worked in the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness Unit.

Dr. Morris has a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Mathematics Education for Grades 6-12 from Florida International University and a Doctorate in Education with a focus in Education Administration and Policy Studies at The George Washington University. Her dissertation focused on how instructional coaches personalize their support to teachers while dealing with the contextual factors that may help or hinder such support.
